Lunt meadows
A sunny but cold day at Lunt Meadows. A pair of Stonechats were boldly occupying some fence posts, and two short eared owls were hunting over the meadows (distant views only today).

Marshside
An afternoon visit saw Sutton’s Marsh almost completely empty – at least in front of the hide. Rimmer’s Marsh was covered in birds, however, and we saw lots of Golden Plover mixing with the Lapwings.

Marshside Barn Owl
Owls on three consecutive days! I popped in to Marshside for a quickie on my way home from business in town, and lo and behold there was a Barn Owl hunting in the area between Rainford’s Lagoon and Marshside Road.
