Barn Owl
On the way home from the pub we saw a Barn Owl from the roof of St George’s church on Lord Street. I think that’ll come up as a life tick, although I’ve seen them once or twice before.

Long-tailed Duck at Marshside
Back-dated post: A Long-tailed Duck took up residence at Marshside for a while; I first saw it on this visit to Nel’s hide, but it subsequently spent a lot of time on Junction pool. A very attractive bird!
