December 06, 2015 A break in the weather

The weather has been wretched; torrential rain and driving winds and severe flooding in all the places at risk of that, but today was actually pretty pleasant, with the sky a bright-ish grey and not much wind or rain.

December 15, 2015 Morning at Lunt Meadows

A misty morning at Lunt Meadows was pleasant if damp. At least three Kestrels were hunting around the reserve, and six Buzzards had some of the fields across the Alt staked out.

December 26, 2015 No surprises at Marshside

Boxing day duty at Sandgrounder’s Hide in heavy rain. The water level was as high as I’ve ever seen it (6.4 of whatever units) they are after a record-breakingly wet month, and visibility was poor.
