Sometimes Garganey hide in the grassy parts of the marsh, and sometimes they tear around chasing Godwits. Today was a bit of both for the drake in front of Nel’s hide.

A pair of bullfinches dropped in this afternoon to partake in the sunflower hearts party. First I’ve seen here; it’s a shame there were no chaffinches around but we still had three finch species on the feeder at the same time.

Today I visited Slack 47 on Ainsdale dunes, Lunt Meadows and Alt Bridge, famed Odonata locations all, but there were some birds as well.
