Ainsdale Dunes
I headed out hoping to see some butterflies and dragonflies, but due to the wind, mostly failed to see much of anything.
My only close views of birds were Meadow Pipits, a Sedge Warbler and a family of fledgeling Great Tits being fed; the rest kept far out of 6.5x range, however.
Butterflies were few and far between, although I present a female Common Blue that I think would be classed as an “aberrant” form.
Purple orchids of all sorts were in abundance, a dragonfly flew off before I could look at it, and the bees were camera shy.
