Following on from the Pectoral Sandpiper twitch, we popped in to the Dolphin Inn for a pint and then out to have a look at Longton Marsh, having heard that there would be Whimbrels.

We didn’t really know where to look, and didn’t see any, but I did hear one.

In compensation, we had nice views of Buzzard and Kestrel, as well as a Barn Owl in Sollom on the way home.
