A few firsts for me at Marshside.

On 17 August there was a juvenile Yellow Wagtail present briefly, as well as a young Wheatear.

On the 22nd early in the morning a juvenile Cuckoo was testing out each post n the new electric fence.

On the 24th, a pair of juvenile Goosanders graced the Rainford’s island for half an hour or so.

Otherwise, the action seems to have been at Hesketh Out Marsh lately, and I haven’t!
